I know starting therapy can be a little scary, but my goal is to make the process as seamless as possible. If you are new to Mindful Couples and Family Therapy. Here are the steps:

1. Sign up for a free consultation

2. Fill out a New Client Form

3. If its a fit, we will pick a time on the schedule for your first Intake appointment.

4. Prior to your intake, you will receive an email with a link to intake paperwork that I ask you fill out prior to our first session.

How long is a typical
session?
What is the cost?

A typical session is about 50 minutes, but I do offer 90 minute session as well for an additional fee.  The cost for a 50 minute session is $175 for an individual and $225 for a couple or family. 90 minute sessions are $225 for individuals and $275 for couples.

The first session (the intake) is $225 and can take up to 90 minutes.

I offer a limited number of reduced fee spaces on my schedule which can be discussed at the free consultation.

What style of therapy do you practice?

I use a combination of Emotionally Focused Therapy along with a mindfulness-based approach to help my clients achieve their goals. I have a calm grounding presence that creates a sense of ease and safety in the therapy room.

Do you take insurance?

I’m a private-pay practice and don’t accept insurance directly, but I can provide an itemized receipt for possible reimbursement through your insurance. I also offer a limited number of reduced-fee spots to help make therapy more accessible for those who need it!

Attendance and Cancellations

Consistency is important for the therapeutic process, and I strive to maintain a schedule that supports all clients’ needs. If you need to cancel or reschedule a session, please provide at least 24 hours’ notice.  Late cancellations (same-day cancellations) and no-shows will be charged the full session fee, as this time has been reserved specifically for you. However, I understand that unexpected circumstances can arise. In the case of an extenuating circumstance, please contact me directly, and I will do my best to accommodate your situation.  To maintain the consistency and effectiveness of therapy, it’s important to honor scheduled appointments. If you have three late cancellations (same-day cancellations) or no-shows, your therapist may choose to refer you to another counseling office that can better accommodate your scheduling needs. In such cases, your case with Mindful Couples and Family Therapy may be closed.  Please note that arriving more than 15 minutes late to a scheduled appointment will be considered a late cancellation, and the session will be canceled. The full session fee will apply unless prior arrangements have been made with your therapist.
